Bill Cowie will tell you much
more about the island's history and show you where to fish or set
creels when food runs out, where to explore when you want adventure,
or leave you to enjoy total peace.
Big Harbour, where the
island's only permanent residence, Rona Lodge, is located
also provides bothy accommodation. The simple
but substantial
cottage bunkhouse right at the shore's edge, though basic,
is well equipped and a welcome haven for campers and
kayakers to enjoy the warmth of a wood-burning stove whilst
overlooking one of the most beautiful anchorages in
Scotland. Prices are from £10 per person (linen extra
if required) with use of the shower at Rona Lodge. We
offer flexible bed and breakfast/evening meal accommodation
in Rona Lodge. Call or e-mail to discuss your
requirements
Camping is permitted
on the Island, but please contact Bill Cowie prior to your visit.
