Rona Highland Cattle Fold

The Rona Fold

Established in 1996                                                                            EBL Attested

Highland cattle were reintroduced to the island of Rona in 1996. A pedigree breeding herd is gradually being built up with original stock from the Ardbhan Fold, North Uist.

They have produced fine calves over the years and have done sterling work throughout the island hill and forest areas as a forest management tool. They are free to roam all over the island and they have been in every corner.

Progeny are available (Sire Marrival 2nd of Ardbhan 8119)
