Welcome to the Island of Rona

Picture of the week:  Mackerel for tea

The beautiful and remote island of Rona lies between Scotland's spectacular west coast and the isle of Skye.  The island is uninhabited apart from Rona Lodge overlooking Acarseid Mhor (Big Harbour) where the resident manager and caretaker, Bill Cowie lives.

We encourage visitors to share this beautiful island.  Rona offers a variety of accommodation including 3 beautiful  holiday cottages where guests can experience one of the most peaceful holidays imaginable, watch  abundant wildlife, explore the history of the ruined settlements last inhabited in the 1920s , or fish and forage to enjoy fresh seafood gathered from the shore

Campers, kayakers and day visitors are very welcome to use the bothy, hot shower and facilities at Acarseid Mhor (Big Harbour), one of the most beautiful anchorages in Scotland

For accommodation enquiries including late availability and visitor information, e - mail Bill Cowie at ronalodge@tiscali.co.uk  or  call 07831 293 963
