The MV Rona
In April 2007, Rona had a new arrival in the shape of the MV Rona. The vessel is a 7 m aluminium voe boat with forward cabin, ideal for negotiating the rocky shores of the island. The boat is skippered by Bill Cowie, fully MCA coded and licensed, equipped and insured to carry up to 6 passengers. We can now offer a Rona - Raasay ferry service allowing more flexible arrangements travelling to Rona for short breaks or day trips. Please call Bill on 07831 293 963 or e-mail ronalodge@tiscali.co.uk to make arrangements. This service operates as an additional benefit to the Saturday Portree ferry skippered by Dan Corrigal which will continue to carry the weekly passengers to the holiday cottages. We can also now offer wildlife watching and fishing trips to our cottage visitors from £10 per person
